WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Big Teaze Toys' flagship product I Rub My Duckie was visually featured in a recent issue of Glamour U.K. Magazine alongside an article about sex toys.
The piece by Kathy Lette, about the “new world of sex toys,” describes how the world-at large, including mainstream celebrities and media outlets, are discussing adult toys more openly than ever before. She cites the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy and the resounding cultural phenomenon it stirred as the primary impetus for the change.
The opening image for the story depicts I Rub My Duckie, a waterproof massager that looks like a classic rubber duck bath toy.
“We were proud to see that the opening image of this piece is the iconic Big Teaze Toys’ product I Rub My Duckie, still featuring prominently as a current and cutting edge item, his trademark smile there for the world to see,” the company said in a statement.
I Rub My Duckie has expanded beyond the original yellow duck series and is now available in an array of fun variations, including pirate- and bondage-themed ducks. All models are phthalate-free and float.
Los Angeles-based product design and manufacturing firm Big Tease Toyz was launched in 1997 by Tony Levine.
