PORTLAND, OR. — The 2013 CineKink Festival tour kicks off its tenth season this weekend with a one-night screening of sex-positive and kink-friendly films at the Clinton Street Theatre in SE Portland.
CineKink PDX will begin at 7p.m. with a screening of the “Best of CineKink 2013,” followed by the full-length feature film “Remedy” at 9 p.m.
“I’m originally from Portland and it’s always fun to come home to show off the year’s kinky best,” said Lisa Vandever, CineKink co-founder and director. “We’re excited to be an official event of Oregon Leather Pride once again, and we’re looking forward to a great turnout.”
The “Best of CineKink 2013” short films program is a compilation of productions that received prizes at the annual CineKink NYC festival, which took place in February.
With works ranging from “documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit,” this year’s edition includes “50 Seconds of 50 Shades” (Bo Blaze), “Naked Love: Ea’s Garden” (Sara Kimmel), “Impact” (Mollena Williams), “Rift” (Keith Hodder), ”Ritual” (Jörg Fockele), “Zucht Und Ordnung” (Jan Soldat), “Amber” (Aven Frey, Gala Vanting and Frank Ly), “Krutch” (Clark Matthews) and “Pinecone” (Michael Markham).
Immediately following the shorts program, CineKink will show “Remedy,” based on its filmmaker Cheyenne Picardo’s personal experiences in the world of professional domination and submission. Picardo will hold a post-screening Q&A.
