HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — British-born adult star Tanya Tate has spoken out against the Internet porn restrictions that are underway in the U.K.
Following a speech given by Prime Minister David Cameron earlier this week, U.K. ISPs are now required to implement automatic “family friendly” filters for all online devices by the end of the year.
The reigning 2013 XBIZ MILF of the Year believes that the government’s position is over-reaching and flawed. She proposes that the government instead direct it funds educational parenting programs.
“I think it is very frightening and wrong that Prime Minister Cameron has imposed these restrictions,” Tate said. “While I whole heartily agree that children should be kept away from adult material, I believe it is the responsibility of the parents to monitor what their children are getting into. Why should my, or any other responsible person’s, viewing habits be restricted because others choose an autopilot approach to parenting?”
She continued: “It really is a shame that the lack of responsibility of a few curtails the freedoms of others. The money would be better spent on providing education and encouraging parents to be more involved in the lives of their children, instead of relying on government-imposed barriers."
Tate has signed the online petition Do Not Force ISP Filtering of Pornography and Other Content and encourages others to do the same.
The Liverpool native has established herself as an adult star in the U.S., U.K. and Ireland through her directorial and acting roles in films like “Tanya Tate’s Casting Couch” and “Tanya Tate’s Brit School Brats.” She is currently on the cover of Turkey’s FHM magazine and will soon release the feature “Tanya Tate’s College Cuties Seduce MILF Beauties.”
