LOS ANGELES — Before it’s even been officially released, TV reality star “Teen Mom” Farrah Abraham’s sex tape has paid off to the tune of nearly $120,000 in royalties in less than two months.
TMZ has obtained a copy of the Vivid Entertainment check issued to the star dated July 17 in the amount of $119,576.39.
Abraham, 22, made the tape, “Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom” with crossover porn star James Deen and sold it to Vivid. In a recent online video the newbie porn star revealed her rationale for making and selling the tape.
She said she made the video to get out from under persistent loneliness, despite accusations that she did it for money or celebrity.
Vivid acquired the rights to the tape after it came to light in April.
The movie is set to premiere on VividTV’s newly launched 24/7 linear TV channel and VividTV OnDemand on May 6, that could be seen by more than 52 million households.
Abraham’s bank account also includes money from a reported six-figure up-front deal made with Vivid.
According to the New York Daily News, Abraham plans to use the money from the sex tape to complete a master’s degree and pursue culinary business endeavors.
