Angel, who owns alt porn company BurningAngel Entertainment, posed for the November issue of the magazine, which will feature an in-depth interview with the star noted for fusing hardcore sex scenes with rocker girl performers.
Although Angel’s tattooed look is a first for Hustler magazine, LFP Video Group Vice President Jeffrey Hawkins felt she would be a good match for the publication.
“We at LFP Video were thrilled to have Joanna grace the pages of our flagship publication,” Hawkins said. “Joanna’s movies reach an audience that stretches beyond your average adult video buyer. I’m sure that Hustler’s readers will find Joanna’s story far from typical, mirroring her performances in her VCA features.”
The November issue of the magazine will feature Angel with copy that reads: “Joanna Angel: Alt-porn’s Dark Queen.”
Angel, who writes a sex column for Spin magazine, welcomed the opportunity to broaden her magazine presence. To date, she has been the subject of articles and pictures in publications ranging from The New York Times, Screw, Penthouse and The Village Voice, to name a few.
“I want to thank Larry Flynt and everyone at Hustler and VCA for all of their support for myself, BurningAngel and our ridiculous movies,” Angel said.
Angel’s Hustler layout was shot by photographer Ladi Von Jansky at Skorzeny’s Tattoo & Body Piercing in Southern California.
