LOS ANGELES — SecureMac, a provider in Mac OS X security and privacy, announced today that PrivacyScan 1.2 has added a new demo option and purchasing option for users.
PrivacyScan said it is now aiming to extend its positive consumer experience to all users.
The company said that PrivacyScan works by searching for known applications that leave files on computers, which could lead to the exposure of private and confidential information. PrivacyScan offers a variety of choices for cleaning, from a standard quick delete to one of many other secure delete shredding options.
The new demo option will allow new users a 15-day free trial of PrivacyScan to preview the program. During this trial period, users can freely run PrivacyScan to clean privacy threats and clear up hard disk space on their computers. The new demo is available exclusively on SecureMac’s PrivacyScan website here.
“PrivacyScan has received rave reviews and an overwhelming positive response from our users and the Mac community," said Nicholas Raba, chief executive officer of SecureMac.
"We’re excited to announce that we’ve opened up PrivacyScan to even more people concerned about their privacy by allowing Mac users the ability to try the app before purchasing."
SecureMac is also adding an additional buying option for new users. In partnership with eSellerate, SecureMac will be adding the option to purchase PrivacyScan outside of the Mac App Store, by allowing users to purchase directly from the SecureMac website.
PrivacyScan will also be available within the new demo, which will automatically register after in-app purchase. With these new options, SecureMac is increasing the choices available to users looking to protect their privacy with PrivacyScan.
