WEGCash Wins Bidding War, Donates to Ray Guhn Legal Defense

IRVINE, Calif. — After a bidding war set up by AlleyBucks CEO John Paul to help raise legal defense funds for adult webmasters Clinton McCowen, aka “Ray Guhn,” Patrick Stevens and Andrew Craft, affiliate program WEGCash emerged victorious, donating $5,000 to the cause.

As the winner of a bidding war that included RageCash, Wildcash, Kaktuz and Fleshlight, among others, WEGCash earned banner placement on Paul’s BoyAlley board signature as well as top banner spot on GayMediaKit.com.

For WEGCash director of product development Cory Wayne, the bidding was more than a chance to promote the company; it was an opportunity to take a stand on what he sees as a critical issue facing the adult entertainment industry.

“We enjoy working together with the industry for causes that support the over all greater good,” Wayne told XBIZ. “When we saw BoyAlley's opportunity to create awareness, as well as inevitably make a donation to a good cause, we did not hesitate.”

Wayne added that helping to support the legal defense fund, whether one deals in similar content or not, should be the concern of every member of the adult entertainment industry.

Wayne presented adult entertainment attorney Lawrence Walters with a $5,000 check.

Walters, who is involved in defending the adult webmasters charged with pandering and obscenity in Pensacola, Fla., has been authorized to accept donations on behalf of the defense fund.
