Lion’s Den, which opened its doors in Columbus, Ohio, in 1971, operates more than 30 retail stores around the U.S., selling adult videos, periodicals, novelties and intimate apparel. The company also distributes its good through its website, LionsDenAdult.com.
For ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine, attracting a company such as Lion’s Den means more than simply adding another avenue of financial support; it means building greater public awareness of ASACP’s mission.
“We’re already talking about publicizing ASACP’s efforts in the Lion’s Den stores, and about how we can work more closely with brick-and-mortar retailers,” Irvine said. “It’s great to have new sponsors be so enthusiastic about participating, and so willing to contribute actively to what we do.”
Lion’s Den CEO Michael Moran said he welcomed the opportunity to join with ASACP to help raise awareness.
"The Lion's Den has been in the forefront of the industry for more than 34 years,” Moran said. “Not just when it comes to integrity and professionalism, but also leading the way in defending our 1st and 4th Amendment rights. We’re proud that our community involvement now includes supporting ASACP’s efforts to protect kids from exploitation, and from adult material.”
