CAMBRIDGE, Ontario — Coquette International has released its 2014 Holiday collection that showcases designs made of stretch lace, sequins, marabou hems and lacing.
Within the sub-collections of the line, buyers will find raised velvet patterns on lycra-based pieces, soft flowing rose-print chiffon, and more stretch lace styles that, according to the company, are consistently strong sellers.
“Based on last year's sales numbers, the sequin Santa pieces were extremely popular, and the designers are introducing fuchsia sequin Santa pieces for this year's upcoming Christmas,” the company said.
The collection also features bow mesh prints with subtle pink sequins and an off-the-shoulder long babydoll, a bustier and a peek-a-boo panty. Additionally, customers will find a raspberry collection with delicate silver detailing, and a dark red line with ivory highlights. Coquette’s PJ collection has been expanded to include a cami, capris, and a leopard print babydoll set.
“We anticipate this holiday season to be better than ever with so many new styles, including plus,” said Marcus Horea, vice president of sales and marketing. “We have been eager to show off this 2014 collection featuring new silhouettes and colors.”
Beginning with the Holiday line, Coquette is launching a new format in its style numbers for plus sizing. All new plus styles will have an “X” before the SKU number to indicate the sizing, something the company is using to indicate that the piece has been modified for larger shapes. According to the company, its designers are working to improve the Coquette Diva (plus) line with pieces that have wider straps, more support for the under bust, additional hook and eyes, and an increased length. The corsets will in turn have a modesty panel built in for that ultimate fit.
“We are working to expand our Coquette Diva line and to improve on the design,” Coquette senior designer Elaine Carson said. “The adjustments will now allow for a more ideal fit with plus and allow Coquette and their sales team to determine which plus styles have been improved.”
Customers can expect to receive their 2014 Holiday collection catalogue in the mail shortly. This line will be deliverable and in-stores by late October 2013.
