New Sensations Signs Directors Lansky, Adriano

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Dipping into the pool of gonzo shooters, New Sensations has locked up Greg Lansky and Mike Adriano to exclusive contracts. The pair will direct one to two titles per month for the company.

Lansky, a native of Paris, got his start directing in France where he attended graduated film school. Lansky filmed his first adult movies for MMV, a German studio. Along with Adriano, he met New Sensations President Scott Taylor through fellow director Steve Holmes at the Venus Fair in Berlin last October.

“When I met Scott, we talked for about two hours and there was an instant connection,” Lansky told XBIZ. “Three weeks later, we were doing our first movie for New Sensations. Scott is a great person to work for.”

The two work as a team in picking locations, talent and wardrobe. Adriano also is a performer, appearing in a few scenes while his best friend operates the camera.

“The great thing about working with your lifelong friend is that you understand each other,” Lansky said. “We review everything together in preproduction meetings and then when we get on set it’s a magic collaboration. Our combined ideas give us great results.”

Before signing the exclusive deal, Lansky and Adriano directed around eight movies for New Sensations and sister company Digital Sin. Among the lines the pair helmed are “Fresh Out of High School,” “Slut Diaries,” “American Sorority Sluts” and “Prying Open My Third Eye.” Their first video under contract will be the next installment of “Fresh Out of High School.”

“Porn is my life,” Lansky said. “I can go for hours checking every aspect of my movies down to the littlest detail — from the lighting, to the color of a girl’s panties, to the text of the boxcover. Passion about our work is what we need most in this business.”
