BURBANK, Calif. — Kayden Kross is featured in a never-before-seen scene on AMC's hit series, “Breaking Bad.”
According to the creators of show, the scene “Chicks and Guns” was written expressly for the newly released "Breaking Bad Season 5" DVD in order to provide some back story for the relationship between the show’s pro/antagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his one-time chemistry student and partner-in-crime Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). It did not air on live TV.
The scene was amended to the episode “Gliding All Over.” Writing assistant Gordon Smith explained that the episode illustrates how Pinkman progresses from being “leery” of White to “kind of actively afraid of him,” a major plot arch never fully addressed in the series.
Kayden plays Jesse’s friend, a quick-witted erotic dancer. Co-executive producer Melissa Bernstein calls Kross a “new edition to the ‘Breaking Bad’ family” in a clip about the making of “Chicks and Guns.”
As Skinny Paul, Pinkman’s drug dealer friend, verbally grasps for a phrase that begins with “Carp …,” Kross’ character supplies the correct lines.
“Carpe Diem — seize the day,” she says, twirling her blonde hair seductively.
“Kayden was super professional and was dancing for 14 hours straight,” said Smith in the behind-the-scenes video.
The Digital Playground exclusive said she was “honored” to be a part of the production.
“Everyone in the cast and crew was amazing and intimidatingly talented,” Kross said. “I never slept so hard as I slept at the end of that shoot.”
Kross' latest hardcore project, the XXX romantic comedy "Bridesmaids," will hit streets June 11.
