WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Dee Dennis, founder of the CatalystCon sexuality conference, announces a list of more than 70 speakers participating in CatalystCon West in Woodland Hills, Calif., Sept. 27-29.
Created to inspire conversations about sexuality, CatalystCon will return to the West Coast with more than 40 sessions and panel discussions on sexuality-based topics.
The sessions and workshops planned for CatalystCon West include a presentation on retro lesbian porn, advice for sexuality activists, a humanist perspective on male circumcision, a look at sex education in Australia and the Netherlands, and panel discussions on progressive swinging, sex-positive parenting, and sex and the media. Speakers include sex educators Carol Queen and Debby Herbenick; academics Constance Penley and Shira Tarrant; activists Robert Morgan Lawrence and William Winters, and industry superstars Nina Hartley, Tera Patrick and Jacky St. James, plus sex workers, sex writers, sex therapists and other experts. Author, sex educator and radio host Tristan Taormino will be presenting two panel discussions on feminist porn in addition to bringing her radio show, Sex Out Loud to CatalystCon West
