Falcon Studios, Naked Sword Announce Strategic Partnership

SAN FRANCISCO — Falcon Studios and NakedSword.com have revealed plans of a strategic marketing alliance between the two titans in the gay adult space.

Falcon Studios now will have the opportunity to promote and produce its content on NakedSword.com and its affiliated sites. NakedSword will receive exclusive streaming rights to all of Falcon’s titles 90 days after the DVD release, and the companies will launch joint affiliate tools, co-branded promotions and development of new sites such as MustangStudiosVOD.com.

Falcon and NakedSword.com are no stranger to partnerships. Earlier this month, the companies combined to form Home Delivery, a consumer and affiliate friendly video-on-demand service that delivers five scenes per week to subscribers. The two companies celebrated the site’s launch with the Relief Is At Hand Party at the XBIZ Summer ’06 Forum.

“NakedSword has been a very aggressive and inventive player in the VOD market,” Todd Montgomery, president of Falcon Studios, said. “Its development and promotional team is one of the best I’ve seen. NakedSword knows our content extremely well and its ability to reach a unique and dedicated audience is crucial in a changing marketplace.”

Falcon and NakedSword also previously collaborated on a limited online release of Falcon Studios’ first two volumes of “Cross Country.” According to Naked Sword, the success of the promotion helped the two companies identify the synergies available through a closer relationship between producer and distributor.

“It’s a win for both companies, as well as for consumers and affiliates,” Tim Valenti, President of NakedSword.com, said. “Falcon is able to maximize its promotion and branding, while our affiliates get new tools and content, and our VOD consumers get access to titles from Falcon, Mustang and Jocks while the marketing is still fresh.”
