PASADENA, Calif. — Veteran adult star Kurt Lockwood is performing at the Ice House comedy club in Pasadena on Wednesday, as well starting a sex column in Baltimore’s City paper, doubly expanding his occupational horizons.
“I'm really excited about my upcoming gig at the Ice House with Adam Hunter,” Lockwood said. “I love doing stand-up comedy, and the response I've gotten from my Comedy Store gig has been great.”
Baynard Woods, the senior editor of City Paper, said he realized Lockwood “wasn't your average porn star” after the paper ran a story on the Dundalk, Md., native, who grew up reading the same alt-weekly that will now feature his column.
“As a teen growing up in 'Charm City', home of the NFL World Champion Ravens, this respected paper… was like a Bible to me and now to be a part of it is an awesome feeling," Lockwood said.
The column will center around his life and insights as a porn star, as well as offer sex tips and advice.
Despite his ventures beyond the adult film world, Lockwood has several XXX projects in the works and just wrapped X-Play's "Not The Wizard of OZ XXX."
