LOS ANGELES — Farrah Abraham released an emotionally revealing video online on Thursday that included a rationale for making and selling her sex tape to Vivid Entertainment last week. In it, she asks the public at large: “On the real, what would you do?”
Following much tabloid buzz about the recent sale of the former reality star’s sex tape, “Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom” to Vivid, Abraham explained that she originally made the video in an attempt to recover from her persistent loneliness.
“And now that you’re 21, you’ve pretty much been crying every night because you’re single and alone," Abraham told her fans on the Keek social video service. "So, you make your own video, celebrate your awesome body, get your own sexy shots.”
The sale of the video, Abraham implies in the clip, was the incidental result of sex tape co-star James Deen’s confirmation of the footage’s existence to the public, not her own avarice or celebrity aspirations. Deen is a crossover adult film star.
“So, the person you did this with has the urge to yell it out, when he should be professional and is not,” Abraham said. “You have companies that are interested, so why not sell it? And that's what I did.”
The clip ends with Abraham putting on a pink Vivid hat.
Abraham plans to use the money she earned from her Vivid deal to complete a master’s degree and pursue culinary business endeavors, the New York Daily News reported.
"Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom" will be available online on May 6.
