MARINA DEL REY, Calif. - James Deen received the X-Rated Critics Organization’s 2013 Mainstream Adult Media Favorite award.
Deen adds this title to a collection of other industry awards.
“I’m incredibly honored to receive this award from the XRCO,” Deen said. “To have an organization of critics and reviewers take note of my accomplishments in adult entertainment and beyond is meaningful.”
The XRCO is made up of professional writers and reviewers in the adult industry. The organization holds an informal invitation-only ceremony annually to honor the critics' choices of the best in the adult industry in the previous year.
Deen was previously named XRCO’s Male Performer of the Year in 2009. Deen’s Mainstream Adult Media Favorite award can be attributed to his starring role in the upcoming feature film from Bret Easton Ellis and Paul Schrader, “The Canyons,” where he acts opposite Lindsay Lohan.
Deen also received mainstream attention in 2012 with features in outlets including GQ, Hollywood Reporter, US Magazine, New York Times, CNN.com, and CNBC.com. Deen’s newest mainstream project is as producer on "Cowboys & Engines," a short steampunk western film. The project is currently in production and raising funds through KickStarter.com.
