BARCELONA, Spain — DIMOCO announced today that it has expanded its existing mobile operator payment service to a total of 29 countries.
The company said it now bills digital content via cell phone operator bills for 104 mobile network operators in 16 different currencies. Business customers can potentially reach 800 million mobile subscribers.
DIMOCO’s current market portfolio includes France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Luxemburg and more.
“We have set ourselves the target to continuously increase the number of our mobile operator payment countries. With 29 markets to date we provide our business customers with an excellent basis for enlarging their content business,” CEO Gerald Tauchner said.
He added, “Other markets are already in the pipeline and will be connected soon.”
The mobile payment provider noted that its market volume now includes Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Hungary.
DIMOCO also recently reported that it has increased its mobile payment sales by 65 percent between 2011 and 2012. “The figures clearly prove that there is a great demand for fast and easy payment possibilities, and we are expanding those possibilities constantly,” Tauchner said.
The company’s services include mobile payment transactions in the areas of online media, social networks, browser games, online dating and more via its infrastructures. Besides the technical processes, DIMOCO is also responsible for the legal frameworks in collaboration with network operators as well as for reviewing the legal requirements in the respective countries for country-specific compliance.
