LOS ANGELES — Rick's Cabaret International will call its new Los Angeles County topless club "Vivid Cabaret" under a license from Vivid Entertainment, the company announced today.
This is the second licensing agreement between the two companies and follows a decision last month to use the "Vivid Cabaret" brand on a new gentlemen’s club set to open in New York City in the fall.
A subsidiary of Rick’s Cabaret signed the deal last week that gives it 100 percent ownership of the new club.
The 12,000 square foot Los Angeles location is expected to open in June near the confluence of several major L.A. area freeways but the exact location has not yet been announced.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Vivid Entertainment to use the ‘Vivid Cabaret’ brand on this exciting new location in Los Angeles County,” Eric Langan, President and CEO of Rick’s Cabaret said.
He added, “Vivid is doing much more than just putting its name on these clubs, they will be active participants in the format and marketing, giving us the opportunity to reach an exciting demographic represented by the Vivid fans. Together we are establishing the ‘Vivid Cabaret’ brand in the two largest markets in the country.”
“Our agreements with Rick’s Cabaret are much more than just licensing the Vivid brand,” Vivid co-founder and CEO Steven Hirsch said. “The cabarets will be Vivid outposts and share our look and feel, with Vivid Girls dancing and making special appearances, previewing new movies, holding auditions and much more. We’ll promote the clubs on VividTV, to our huge email list of Vivid fans as well as on our world-famous Vivid.com website, on our DVDs, and at Vivid parties and events. We look forward to working with Rick’s to maximize the marketing opportunities presented by branding the new cabarets in NYC and L.A. County. The fan feedback from the cabaret initiative has been tremendous.”
The Rick’s chain operates 37 adult clubs, bars and restaurants around the country.
