VAN NUYS, Calif. — Vantage Distribution has released DreamZone Entertainment's "Barb Wire XXX," a spoof of the 1996 post-apocalyptic actioner starring Pamela Anderson.
"We’re thrilled to have ‘Barb Wire XXX: A DreamZone Parody' now available for sale to consumers," DreamZone Vice President Adam Hasner said.
"The buzz has been building to a feverish pitch for the last couple months, and now fans can finally enjoy ‘Barb Wire XXX’s sex-charged action-adventures."
"Barb Wire" follows the adventures of Barbara Kopetski, an adrenaline junkie working part-time as a mercenary to keep her bar open for business in the dystopian town of Steel Harbor.
The spoof stars Britney Amber as Barb Wire and is written and directed by Van Anderson ("MacGyver XXX"). Co-stars include Jayden Jaymes, Gigi Loren, Raylene, Holly Michaels, Billy Glide, Ralph Long, Earl Slate, Derrick Pierce and Evan Stone.
"Van Anderson and the outstanding supporting cast did an amazing job capturing the tongue-in-cheek vibe of the original film, and then took it up a couple notches," Hasner said. "This is definitely a breakout role for Britney Amber; she really nailed the part and obviously had a lot of fun playing the title character.
"We feel strongly that ‘Barb Wire XXX' will be a hit from the get-go, and then continue as a consistent seller for some time to come.”
