Amazing Networks Adopts DHD Media Technology

LOS ANGELES — Utilizing DHD Media’s full suite of online services, Amazing Networks, affiliated with Metro Interactive and Metro Studios, has decided to integrate the company’s technology on its web properties.

DHD’s services include fully integrated payment processing, customer support, RevEx affiliate program, hosting, media streaming and digital rights management tools.

Amazing Networks owns and operates many web properties including adult DVD rentals with GoFlix.com, ecommerce with AmazingDirect.com, DVDExplorer.com and NiteTimeToys.com, video-on-demand with MetroMovies.com, and its group of content sites with MetroXXX.com as the flagship.

“Metro is a company with a long history as a leader in our field,” Amazing’s Special Projects Manager Matt Corona said. “By working with the team at DHD Media we’re able to bring our top quality products online more effectively and more profitably.

“[DHD Media has] collaborated with us in thoughtfully integrating the services, and transitioning to a much more consolidated delivery system. It really helps us maintain a consistently high quality customer experience, and at the same time increases our marketing options.”

Amazing Networks’ variety of niche content sites, ecommerce and VOD fit in well with the spectrum of services DHD offers because of its ability to customize a solution across different platforms.

For Internet billing management, DHD Media is delivering real time transaction processing, recurring billing, secure ordering capability and an advanced account management system.

Online portal web portal DigiGear provides comprehensive realtime stats reporting and a wide array of promotional tools so Metro can implement target-marketing campaigns that are effectively pinpointed.

DHD’s proprietary RevEx service will act as the backbone for Amazing’s affiliate program because of its ability to centralize all transaction records, DHD Media CEO Ron Jenkins said.

Protecting content from online pirates also is a big concern for Amazing. To that end, its adopted DHD’s DRM software, which includes managed hosting and custom encoding.

“At DHD Media our pride comes from the satisfaction of our clients and our ability to help them achieve their goals,” Jenkins said. “We understand that a megasite like Amazing’s, and a company with the track record of success that they’ve established, has customized needs. We’re very pleased to be able to meet these needs.”
