HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — X-Play has wrapped production on director Will Ryder's eagerly anticipated "Wizard of Oz" parody, starring Maddy O'Reilly in the iconic role of Dorothy.
Titled "Not the Wizard of Oz XXX," the parody is Ryder's most ambitious undertaking to date and includes five musical numbers featuring original songs written for the film and sung by its cast.
“I am so proud of my cast and crew because they accomplished the impossible in bringing this movie to life,” Ryder said in a studio press release.
"There were a lot of hurdles to overcome but we were finally able to create the movie I dreamed about.
"I have never been a part of anything as special as this and I guarantee you that each person in the cast and every crew felt the same way.”
"Not the Wizard of Oz XXX" is slated for an April release, pending distributor.
Co-stars include Anikka Albright as Glinda the Good Witch, Brandy Aniston as the Wicked Witch, Mack Turner as Scarecrow, Dick Chibbles as Tin Man and James Bartholet as Lion.
Rounding out the cast are Alexis Adams, Stella Marie, Seth Gamble, Eric Swiss, Kurt Lockwood, Gary Lee and Eric John.
