LOS ANGELES — Here’s a switch. Adult star James Deen has a chance to star in a parody of his own mainstream movie.
TMZ reported that Vivid Entertainment co-chairman Steven Hirsch has sent a letter to Deen asking him to direct and star in a film spoofing the Hollywood production of "The Canyons" that he starred in with Lindsay Lohan.
The letter said that Vivid’s been following the film with “great anticipation” and VividTV is interested in producing a parody version.
“It would be a first in parodies…the actual star of a mainstream movie also starring in an X-rated version of that same movie. How cool is that?,” the letter said.
Hirsch goes on to say that the project would be a great place for Deen to showcase his acting and directing talents for more mainstream exposure.
Vivid said it has already lined up a cast list of “hot women” to play Lohan.
Deen was contacted by XBIZ but had not responded by post time.
