LOS ANGELES — Misty Stone reflects on Black History month.
"I think it's a great idea that we look back and reflect on the rich history of our black community,” she said. “So much has been given to the community and culture of America. Now, I do think we should also observe an appreciation in the adult industry for the black performers in this wonderful industry. Many have been trailblazers and I thank them for paving a way for myself and my fellow black performers. Yes, we have the awards programs, but I think with Black History month going on all month in February, maybe we should have an appreciation for the contributions of the black performers and directors and producers who have come before us.
“Have we made progress, yes, but there's so much more progress to make. I've seen better roles being offered to us, not just stereotypical parts in movies, but again baby, there's always room for improvement.”
Stone has launched her new production company Misty Stone Productions. She is also working on new production and compiling content for her new official site MistyStone.com.
"This is going to be an absolutely great year baby, I can't wait,” she said. “We're putting a lot of work into this. I've also got some exciting new mainstream projects coming up as well.
Stone has recently graced the cover of Penthouse Magazine for the Girls of Penthouse edition.
