LOS ANGELES — The porn industry is experiencing a resurgence in couples friendly films geared toward women, thanks in part to 2012 pop cultural hits such as the 50 Shades of Grey book trilogy and the feature film "Magic Mike," according to a CNBC.com report about "Porn's New Market."
"Several production companies have spent the past few years building a catalog of women- and couples-friendly films. Leading the pack are Wicked PIctures and New Sensations," CNBC's Chris Morris writes.
Morris spoke to New Sensations president Scott Taylor, screenwriter Jacky St. James, Wicked Pictures president Steve Orenstein, Pink Visual CEO Allison Vivas and Sssh.com owner Angie Rowntree for the piece.
"More women are feeling comfortable going into adult stores and buying adult products," Orenstein told CNBC. "So now it's more clear they're making decisions on what they want to bring into the house with those products."
