BURBANK, Calif. – The ANME Show founders welcomed a strong, international crowd with new releases and marketing tools on day one of the bi-annual event.
Kicking off the event Sunday night with a welcome cocktail party, ANME went full force Monday with busy exhibition areas and networking throughout the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel.
The evening wrapped with a festive dinner party entertaining attendees with dueling pianos. As the main show floor’s centerpiece, Pipedream Products’ sales team tended to a constantly bustling booth.
“This trade show has allowed Pipedream to exhibit the latest additions to our best-selling lines such as Juicy Jewels, Le Reve, Fetish Fantasy and of course our popular Planogrammer that we’ve had so much success with,” Pipedream Products creative director Kristian Broms said. “We’ve gotten so much great feedback about the Planogrammer and PDU training that goes hand in hand.
“What’s contributed to Pipedream’s success is our broad range of products,” Broms said. “In addition to hardcore and fetish lines, we stay true to our roots in bachelorette and gag items. Nick [Orlandino] ensures the quality and creativity behind the brand with so much involvement in our product development.”
Similarly, Nasstoys takes pride in sticking to its roots with its latest releases, bolstering its already bestselling lines.
“The ANME Show so far has proven to be a very highly attended event,” Nasstoys Sales & Marketing Director Kathryn Hartman said. It’s been very busy for Nasstoys – we’re exhibiting our November and January releases to international customers and so far everything has been a hit, especially our magnetic Nen-Wa balls and RAM collection. It’s so nice to start the new year with a tradition and ANME is that annual tradition for all of us, our colleagues and friends.”
CalExotics unveiled a slew of new additions, including the new Nick Hawk Gigolo collection, which was marked by an afternoon launch party held at the company’s booth.
“We have tremendous expectations about the outcome of this show. I’m excited about the new additions,” said Susan Colvin, President and CEO. “We added to our most popular lines, including Precious Metals, Posh and Shane’s World. In addition, I’m excited about all of the additions from Jopen. The new Envy line features the most powerful vibes on the market, and the new Stella balls with interchangeable balls have been extremely popular with attendees.”
Doc Johnson unveiled a Glow room to showcase its new Glo items. The company also employed the celebrity power of James Deen with an apperance to draw attention to the new bondage collection part of his signature line.
“The ANME Show brings together the best suppliers and buyers from all over the world – it truly is an international show,” Doc Johnson COO Chad Braverman said. “The set-up keeps everyone together and draws people to L.A. for three days to kick off the new year with a bang.”
Topco Sales presented its latest offerings with a simplistic new booth centralized on branding.
"With this trade show, we’re excited about 2013 and all of the possibilities that the year holds,” Topco Sales CEO Scott Tucker said. “Our sales team is geared up and excited to show off our new items as well as re-stock our distributors with some of our best sellers.
ANME continues through tomorrow morning, leading up to the XBIZ 360 Pleasure Products Conference, and the Retail Conference.
