Lisa Ann, Daphne Rosen, Syren Return to Hardcore

LOS ANGELES — As John Travolta can attest, Hollywood loves a comeback, and performers Lisa Ann, Daphne Rosen and Syren are hoping the other Hollywood does, too. All three have returned to filming hardcore.

Syren, represented by September Dawn’s Exotic Star Modeling, had stopped doing hardcore to focus on softcore cable movies such as HBO Late Night’s “Sinsations.” While she didn’t officially retire from shooting hardcore, she said there simply weren’t many triple-X projects she was interested in.

“I like doing features,” she told XBIZ. “I like movies that have a lot of dialog and costumes, where I can act.”

Late last year, she got a call from James Avalon for a movie that had all those elements, Red Light District’s “Babes in Black,” a parody of the Will Smith-Tommy Lee Jones buddy comedy “Men in Black.” Syren played the Tommy Lee Jones part. She also has appeared in two movies for Spice Studios and an all-girl feature for Hustler. She hopes to get more girl-girl work and to perform with real-life boyfriend Evan Stone.

Former Wicked contract girl Lisa Ann, who had been out of the business for four years, is represented by LA Direct Models and was on hand at Erotica LA signing in the MyThrillWorld.com booth. She has already started filming and can be seen in the recent Torrid Entertainment release “Juicy Juggs,” directed by Jade Marcela. She also appears in the Adam & Eve feature "Dirty Love," directed by Roy Karch.

“I'm more than excited,” she said of her return. “I'm anxious with anticipation and thrilled to death to come face to face with the people that have supported me and stood behind me throughout my career, as well as be introduced to a new set of fans.”

Rosen, who is represented by Harry Weiss, is coming back after more than a year’s hiatus and will begin filming this summer. She has appeared in more than 150 videos, including some as a contract performer for Venom Digital Media, as well as Starr Productions’ “Faster Pussycat! Fuck! Fuck!,” an adult remake of Russ Meyer’s “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!”

“I took some time off to really focus on my college education,” Rosen said, “and I wanted to work on [creating] a members section of my website too, which should be up and running in a few weeks at DaphneRosen.com. It was a nice vacation, but I've been itching to jump back in the saddle.”
