The deal, which takes effect Aug. 1, will bring Vivid titles to Pulse, a firm run by Jim Kohls, who previously helmed LFP’s distribution arm, and Mark Hamilton.
Vivid Co-Chairman Steven Hirsch said that working with Kohls and Hamilton made the most sense for the company, adding that Vivid’s relationship with LFP had been excellent.
“We have had an excellent relationship with LFP, and we hope to work with the company on other projects in the future," Hirsch said.
Senior Vice President of LFP Video Jeffery Hawkins told XBIZ that LFP wished Vivid well.
LFP, the parent company to the Hustler brand, has distributed Vivid titles since 2002.
Pulse, a relative newcomer on the scene, handles gay and straight distribution.
