HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — AdamAndEve.com announced today that it has registered record-breaking sales and orders for this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The company said Black Friday saw a sales increase of 22 percent, and an 18 percent increase in orders on the Adam & Eve website compared to Black Friday 2011.
Cyber Monday also showed a significant gain with a 33 percent increase in sales and a 30 percent increase in orders over the previous year.
Unique visitors to the Adam & Eve mobile site were up 74.2 percent as well on Cyber Monday, the company reported.
“Black Friday has traditionally been a very busy day for us,” marketing director Chad Davis said. “But this year’s numbers for Black Friday and Cyber Monday were overwhelming.”
Erotic toys were the top sellers this year for both days, making up more than 50 percent of orders. Miscellaneous items and DVDs were the next most popular categories (at 10 and 8 percent repectively), followed by women’s lingerie and lubricants (at 8 and 5 percent).
“Adam & Eve generally sees an increase in sales in August (when children go back to school), over the Christmas holidays and around Valentine’s Day,” Davis added. “We’re very pleased that even in this still-struggling economy, adults are looking to Adam & Eve as a way to enjoy their time together.”
