DeclineCash Adds Cash Payment Option

CLEVELAND — DeclineCash provides merchants one last chance to convert declined credit card customers with a new cash payment option.

Once integrated, DeclineCash is positioned at the end of your cascade and if a credit card is declined, the customer is offered the option to pay using cash at a local retailer. The cash payment option is currently operating in the U.S. market, and the emerging markets of Russia, Brazil and Canada will be added next. Customers can pay cash at more than 700,000 payment centers worldwide.

DeclineCash JoeD stated, “Customers actually pay with cash, gaining virtually immediate access with no refunds or chargebacks possible to the merchant. This cash payment option is not a prepaid card or eWallet scheme, but a really novel new method, and the real innovation was programming the cash option for cascade billing so merchants could ‘decline-to-cash.’ It is proving wildly successful because merchants just ask themselves, 'Why wouldn't I do it?'"

"For merchants selling high-cost or hard goods, including cam sites, where chargebacks can produce a devastating result, they can also choose to offer the standard Pay-with-Cash option in the same implementation by simply placing a 'Pay-with-Cash' button on their checkout page," the company said. "Subscription merchants are offering extended access to members’ areas and adapting pricing to match. What percentage of your transactions are declined? Utilizing the Pay with Cash option, merchants can convert credit card declines into paying customers at the same cost as processing a credit card. The process is incredibly simple; the user enters their postal code to identify the most convenient payment center, a payment slip is generated, the user takes the payment slip to the store or kiosk to pay, and then they have instant access. It is an easy option for those who do not have a credit card, are afraid to use their cards online, and for those who do not want to share personal financial information with a website."
