LOS ANGELES — In partnership with BearManor Media, the flagship Hustler Hollywood retail store will host the launch of author Jill C. Nelson’s Golden Goddesses, a new book that profiles some of the most celebrated legendary women of classic erotic cinema from 1968 through 1985.
The free event will take place this Thursday at the Hustler Hollywood store at 8920 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, and will include readings from the book, followed by a Q&A with the author and the women featured in the book, as well as signings.
Golden Goddesses casts light upon 25 significant women involved in the erotic film industry during its Golden Era, when participation in adult productions was deemed illegal. Profiling performers, directors, screenwriters and costumers through personal interviews, photos and film highlights, Golden Goddesses focuses on the intimacy, vulnerability and strength of these audacious females.
Confirmed attendees include Kay Parker, Serena, Rhonda Jo Petty, Ginger Lynn, Christy Canyon, Nina Hartley, Kitten Natividad, Laurie Holmes, Veronica Hart, Sharon Mitchell, Kelly Nichols, Raven Touchstone, Georgina Spelvin, Julia St.Vincent, Carly Mills and Annie Sprinkle.
Champagne and cake will be served. Attendance is free with RSVP. Email nelson4@cogeco.ca or call 323-651-5400 x. 7687 to attend.
The first Hustler Hollywood opened in 1998 on the famed Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. There are now 13 stores across the country, and expansion continues.
