LOS ANGELES — Director B. Skow’s eventful year has culminated with seven nominations for the 2013 XBIZ Awards, including Director of the Year – Body of Work. The nominations span a wide range of categories, including Best All-Sex, Vignette, and Couples-Themed movies, demonstrating B. Skow’s versatility as a director.

Director of the Year – Body of Work
New Studio of the Year (Skow Digital)
Vignette Release of the Year (“Allie Haze: True Sex”)
All-Sex Series of the Year (“Brand New Faces”)
Couples-Themed Release of the Year (“Voila”)
Best Actor – Couples-Themed Release (Kris Slater, “Voila”)
Best Supporting Actress (Dana DeArmond, “Voila”)

In 2012, the longtime contract director formed his own studio, Skow Digital, in order to have full creative control over his projects. The result is an XBIZ nomination for New Studio of the Year. Acclaimed releases include “Teen Sex Dolls” and “Model House Invasion.”

In addition to shooting for Skow Digital, the director also films girl/girl movies for Girlfriends Films. In a surprise move this year, the popular lesbian studio announced the decision to distribute select boy/girl content. The debut title was B. Skow’s heralded “Voila,” under the label Skow for Girlfriends Films.
“Voila” is nominated for three XBIZ Awards, including Couples-Themed Release of the Year, Best Actor – Couples-Themed Release (Kris Slater), and Best Supporting Actress (Dana DeArmond).
