Bay Area XBIZ.net Gathering Packs the Armory With Record Turnout

SAN FRANCISCO — Organized by GameLink's Jeff Dillon, a record turnout of about 100 industry and mainstream tech professionals and executives showed up Friday night for the Bay Area XBIZ.net Gathering at Kink.com's Armory Club.

At Kink Founder Peter Acworth's Armory, the XBIZ.net Gathering included a happy hour that helped kick off the evening. Later, the party shifted over across the street to the Kink.com Castle for a gala reception, complete with cocktails and finger foods, at Kink's Upper Floor.

Juicy Ads, Synova Interactive and GameLink sponsored the happy hour and gala event. The Gathering also included tours of the Armory for those who attended.

Acworth told XBIZ that the event was "well-attended with a great cross section of all aspects of the adult business in attendance."

"The XBIZ event was a great way to show our new Armory Club to the industry insiders of the Bay Area, as well as give these industry reps a peek inside the Armory with guided tours," he said.

Attendees included executives from GameLink, Kink, Juicy Ads, Synova Interactive, AdultFriendFinder, Dating Gold, Playpen.com, Combat Zone, Nasty Dollars/Reality Kings, Fling, VideoBox and Money Lover, among other adult entertainment-related and technology companies. Alec Helmy, XBIZ's president and founder, also attended the event.

Dillon, GameLink.com's vice president of business development, told XBIZ that the Bay Area XBIZ.net Gathering was the biggest yet.

"The event went great with an amazing," Dillon said. "It was a great mix of people.

"We had people come in from all over — Phoenix, L.A., Sacramento, San Jose, Santa Cruz, etc. ... There was lots of local talent also in attendance. The event was an outstanding success and everyone had a blast while mingling and getting business done."

The XBIZ.net Gatherings, created by adult industry hub XBIZ, are held multiple times per year in various worldwide locations. The events offer attendees a chance to network and get to know fellow professionals in order to build fruitful connections.

XBIZ.net Gatherings have been held twice in San Francisco, as well as in Paris, London, Miami and Santa Barbara, Calif.
