MacNamara calls "Awake" the "favorite story we’ve told, especially in terms of emotion and the love and sex between gay men."
"Awake" is the story of young gay couple Jessy Ares and Jonathan Agassi trying to mend their damaged relationship by taking a beautiful island getaway. But things unravel when a freak automobile accident lands Agassi in the hospital and Ares in the company of Mitchell Rock, a local eager to show him a good time.
“We don’t all fuck the pizza guy or the delivery boy,” MacNamara said. “But as men we have had the challenge of love and sex in real-life. If someone wants to get off then they want to be excited and 'Awake' does that like nothing else I’ve seen before.”
"Awake" co-stars Alex Marte, Edji Da Silva, Mathew Mason, Trenton Ducati and 2012 XBIZ Gay Performer of the Year Adam Killian.
Lucas Entertainment took advantage of the location, shooting in a villa near a cliff, inside Armenistic Lighthouse, on motorbikes, in a hospital and on the streets of Mykonos. The company also shot one sex scene on Elia Beach, a gay nude beach.
Along with the DVD release, "Awake" is also available to stream online to members of LucasEntertainment.com.
