NEW YORK — Lucas Entertainment has cut a trailer for writer and director Marc MacNamara’s "Awake," a big-budget relationship drama shot on the Greek island of Mykonos.
The film follows young gay couple Jessy Ares and Jonathan Agassi as they try to mend their damaged relationship by going on holiday to a beautiful island getaway.
Plans fall apart when a freak car accident lands Jonathan in the hospital and leaves Jessy in the company of Mitchell Rock, an island local eager to show him a good time.
The film, which wrapped in August, costars Alex Marte, Edji Da Silva, Mathew Mason, Trenton Ducati and 2012 XBIZ Gay Performer of the Year Adam Killian. Click here to view the safe-for-work trailer.
"Shooting 'Awake' was truly an amazing experience," Lucas Entertainment exclusive Agassi said. "Mykonos is beautiful and the entire story of 'Awake' is by far the best combination that I’ve seen.
"I think 'Awake' touches on a lot of the true-life issues that partnered men have, but tells it in a way everyone can relate to and be moved by. Emotion and excitement are put to the test in a wonderful and twisted way. Don’t skip a moment because this one cuts deep and stays incredibly hot throughout."
"Awake" arrives on DVD on Sept. 28. LucasEntertainment.com members can view the first half of the film online.
