CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Exquisite Films and Sweet Mess Films are set to parody the one who knocks. The studios announced today that production is underway for a spoof on AMC's "Breaking Bad."
David Lord is directing the parody from a script written by Rodney Moore, who felt the Emmy Award-winning show from creator Vince Gilligan "offered the perfect opportunity for political commentary on proposed legislations aimed at the adult entertainment industry."
Moore's script was key in cementing Lord's involvement with the project.
“I try not to work for a lot of people, but when [Sweet Mess Films co-proprietor Steviee Hughes] asked me about this project I agreed," Lord said. "It’s ‘Breaking Bad,’ so how could I say no? Reading Rodney’s intriguing interpretation of the show sealed the deal for me.”
Set to star in the parody are Brandy Aniston, Kimberly Kane, Tasha Reign, Chanel Preston, Lexi Belle, Andy San Dimas, Alec Knight, Eric Masterson, Steven St. Croix, Derrick Pierce, James Bartholet and Ron Jeremy.
AMC's "Breaking Bad" tells the story of Walter White, a chemistry teacher who starts to produce and distribute meth with former student and dope dealer Jesse Pinkman after being diagnosed with Stage III lung cancer. White's sole purpose is to secure his family's financial future before his death, but as events unfold he soon discovers that he likes being "the danger."
Exquisite Films and Sweet Mess Films first collaborated in 2011 on the Moore-directed spoof “The Addams Family XXX."
