LAS VEGAS — Tatyana Designs, a growing retailer specializing in contemporary designs inspired by the iconic Bettie Page, has opened its ninth U.S. Bettie Page Clothing boutique in Philadelphia.
Located at 1605 Walnut St. in the Center City section of Philadelphia between an Apple Store and BCBG, the company says it continues its pattern of securing prime locations in new markets.
"Our first location in the East has a special meaning for me," said Jan Glaser, co-chief executive officer and treasurer of Tatyana Designs. "I was born in Philadelphia and have always had a great fondness for the city. The residents are fashion conscious and urbane, with Philadelphia boasting a huge number of art museums, music venues, top-flight restaurants and a merging of cultures from around the world."
"We are very excited to enter this dynamic market," added Tatyana, lead designer, co-chief executive officer and president. "I think my designs fit the 'big city lifestyle.' Ladies in Philadelphia like to dress up and be seen as feminine but with a definite sense of confidence. I try to portray that strength of femininity in Bettie Page boutiques."
"We are confident that our new Philadelphia location will track the success of our other eight outlets all located in prime 'street' or up-scale mall locations," Glaser said. "The success of e-commerce and wholesale sales to clientele in the East provides further confidence that our format and products have broad and enduring appeal. We are looking at additional eastern locations as we pursue our growth strategy."
