LAS VEGAS – After three days of lingerie and sex toy showcases, doing business and nightly festivities, Specialty Trade Shows owner Jeff Yunis and show manager Michael Moriera report the success of the latest International Lingerie Show.
Moriera and Yunis waited until day three of ILS to officially declare a general consensus of satisfaction among exhibitors and attendees, new and old.
“In a tough economy it was great to see a lot of business being written,” Moriera said. “Manufacturers are beginning to realize that the key to a successful trade show is to make appointments in advance and bring in fresh, quality products.”
According to Yunis, attendees of Monday evening’s fashion show were particularly impressed with the event’s grandeur and the massive turnout.
Attendees of the latest edition of ILS were technologically empowered with a new tool, an ILS app offering real-time interactivity. Expotec’s booth at the entrance of ILS offered demos on how to best utilize the ILS app, with iPads displaying the app which is available to download from the Apple App Store, via QR code and as a mobile site. Its functionalities range from real-time updated daily schedules, exhibitor information, push-notification alerts, an interactive map of the show floor and more.
“This is our first go-around and we’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback,” Expotec’s Ray Sands said. “It gives attendees a lot of advantages to make the most of their trade show experience. Aside from making announcements on a microphone, this is the first most effective way to provide attendees real-time interactivity.”
In addition to trade show discounts at local businesses, the ILS app gives exhibitors the opportunity to send instant messages about their show specials to ILS attendees.
Blush Novelties’ Eric Lee made his return to ILS after a two-year hiatus with a booth exhibiting an array of vibes.
“The show was great for us, I think we really left an impression on attendees,” Lee said. “Our booth offered the opportunity to showcase our full line as well as direct them to our distributors. This is definitely the show that shouldn’t be passed up.”
Layla Ross, distribution and packaging director for Stockroom, said that with “Fifty Shades” still “on the tip of everyone’s tongue,” Stockroom is definitely at an advantage offering an assortment of bondage gear for new and experienced players.
“We came here to support our distributors,” Ross said. “Despite that it seemed quiet, distributors were busy non-stop and that was really great to see.”
BeaMonstar Products also utilized its distributors, including Eldorado, Holiday Products and Nalpac, to market its bestselling male sexual enhancement supplement, SexVoltz.
“We very thankful for our distributors and I’m glad to be here to support them,” BeaMonstar Products’ Jeff Bolanos said. “SexVoltz continues to be a top seller in the male enhancement category and ILS is always a great opportunity to meet with our customers from all over the world.”
The International Lingerie Show and co-located Las Vegas Halloween Show return April 8-10.
