CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Smash Pictures released today director Jim Powers' "Diary of Love: A XXX Romance Adaptation of the 'Notebook,'" starring newcomer Presley Hart and features star Richie Calhoun.
The adaptation, an erotic re-imagining of best-selling author Nicholas Sparks' debut romance novel, tells the tale of star-crossed lovers who remain connected despite insurmountable odds.
"Every time I hear women talk about their favorite romantic movies, 'The Notebook' always gets mentioned as their favorite," Smash Pictures Vice president Stuart Wall told XBIZ.
"After watching it, I could see that it fit perfectly in our romantic line of movies... except for the end. We felt incorporating elderly people and mixing death with sex wouldn’t work, so we made a small change to the ending and gave it our own title, 'Diary of Love.'”
"Diary of Love: A XXX Romance Adaptation of the 'Notebook'" costars Lily Labeau, Lia Lor, Kimberly Kane, Logan Pierce and Johnny Castle. A hardcore trailer for the film can be seen here.
"We didn’t cut any corners on this release," Wall said. "We took our lead stars out on a rowboat on the water and shot a love scene. We went on the Santa Monica Ferris Wheel and captured beautiful couples shots and more."
"Diary of Love" is Smash Pictures' second offering from its new line of romantic films, following the studio's relationship drama "Forever Love-Trust.” In September, the company will release its eagerly awaited send-up of author E.L. James' erotic "Fifty Shades" trilogy.
