HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Former Digital Playground exclusive Angelina Armani will be seen this month in Roger Corman's "Attack of the 50-Foot Cheerleader," an EPIX original movie set to premiere on Aug. 25.
The film is directed by visual effects guru Kevin O’Neill and stars television actress Jena Sims as an awkward college coed who turns into a 50-foot giant after using an experimental drug to become popular.
Armani costars in the film as a sorority pledge.
She joins a cast that also includes Sean Young ("Blade Runner"), Treat Williams ("Everwood"), Ryan Merriman ("Pretty Little Liars"), Ted Raimi ("Oz, the Great and Powerful"), Mary Woronov ("Devil's Rejects") and Paula Labaredass ("Camel Spiders").
Armani broke into adult in 2008 and was quickly signed by Digital Playground to their roster of stars. She performed in more than 35 titles by the time she left the industry in 2010. Her mainstream credits include the Adam Sandler-produced porn star comedy "Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star" and Image Entertainment's bloody slasher "ChromeSkull: Laid to rest 2."
