LOS ANGELES — Adult film veteran Mariah Milano has launched a monthly raffle to win a trip to have dinner with her.
Riding the wave of success of her latest project DinnerWithaPornstar.com, Milano has launched a monthly raffle where she will fly the winner from any major city in the U.S. to have dinner with her at a variety of her favorite restaurants.
The inaugural drawing will be a trip to New York City along with a night in the midtown Crowne Plaza Hotel and dinner at her favorite NYC restaurant Momofuku Noodle Bar, which is owned by famous chef David Chang.
"Noodle Bar is fucking amazing!" Milano raved. "I had dinner here for the first time a few years ago and was blown away. The concept is so cool and the Korean fried chicken is the most incredible thing you have ever eaten and requires advance orders as it is very limited. It is a meal you will never have again at any other place, I guarantee it!"
Milano launched the Dinnerwithapornstar.com site only last month and started out with cooking episodes but it has grown into much more than that.
"It's a chronicle of my cultural adventures over the last few years from Indonesia and New Zealand to the street vendors in Europe," she said. "I started out just doing some cooking videos but then realized I had video blogs and hotel reviews from all over the world I could share so it took on this whole other concept!
"And I kept being asked how people get to have dinner with me or have me cook them dinner so I decided to do this monthly raffle. I am starting out flying people to specified locations but eventually if it goes well I might just have a night where I sell tickets to come to a dinner that I'll cook for 10 or 15 people!"
Milano addressed some accusations from people on Twitter regarding the validity of the contest. "I have been very outspoken against porn stars escorting while being active in the business and I have a feeling this is going to get some people raising their eyebrows thinking they have caught me being a hypocrite and that this is nothing more than a disguised escorting setup, but I assure that it is 100 percent dinner only and I will have my personal security right there to handle any situation," Milano said. "I got a DM today from someone that said, 'I always knew you were a whore. You didn't fool me when you bashed the girls who escort. I knew you were no different,' but I just deleted it and laughed. I know the truth and I will make it very clear to the winner of the contest."
The contest has its own website (https://dinnerwithmariah.com) where you can buy one entry for $25 or three for $50 or get eight entries for $100 through PayPal.
"The chances of winning are really high considering that I don't expect to have more than 100-200 entries per month," she continued. "Those are much better odds than any other contest or lottery I have seen and for only a $25 investment the grand prize is pretty awesome! People on Twitter go on and on about being ballers and all their money and how they have this and that, well this will be the test to see who is all talk and who will step up and take the chance to have dinner with me and win a trip to New York City!"
Along with paying for the flight and hotel and dinner, Milano will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Brussels Griffon rescue of Florida. "I have a 10-year-old Brussels Griffon named Sophia who is my angel. They are an amazing breed that have eye problems as they get older and the foundation has helped out a lot of people who cannot afford treatments. Sophia lost her eye when she was 7 and it cost me nearly $8,000 and I was very lucky to have been able to afford that, but I cannot imagine what would be done if I couldn't? So I will be giving a donation every month to them and then if it continues to do well I will also consider other charities as well."
Contest entrants can buy raffle tickets at https://dinnerwithapornstar.com The winner will be drawn at random on the first day of every month. The drawing will be broadcast live on webcam and the winner will have 24 hours to claim their prize.
Entries will be accepted through Aug. 30 for the first drawing held on Sept. 1.
