NEW YORK — Nicholas Gruber, the ex-gay performer best known for dating 69-year-old fashion icon Calvin Klein, was sentenced in Manhattan Criminal Court today to do 20 days community service after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor drug charge.
Gruber was arrested in April after police were called to his Greenwich Street residence to investigate allegations that he had assaulted a man he had picked up during a night of partying. While on the scene, officers saw Gruber hide what they suspected to be drugs down his pants while resisting arrest.
According to court papers obtained by NewYorkPost.com, a strip search led authorities to discover a small amount of cocaine in Gruber's Calvins.
Gruber will do 10 days of community service in New York and 10 days of service in his home state of California. He was not required to enter a drug treatment facility because he had enrolled in and completed a rehab program shortly after his arrest in April.
Gruber has starred in a handful of gay titles for Next Door Entertainment and website SeanCody.com under the alias Aaron Skyline and Zeke, respectively. The now 22-year-old's pornographic career came to light shortly after he began dating Klein in 2010. They broke up in January of this year.
Gruber is now writing a tell-all about his relationship with Klein (more on that here).
