2much Sponsors Networking Event at Qwebec Expo

MONTREAL  LiveCamNetwork webcam site software creator 2much.net has confirmed its support for Qwebec Expo for a ninth year by once again sponsoring the Networking Cocktails to be held between 6 and 8 p.m. for the duration of the conference.

This is in addition to 2much.net co-sponsoring the Canadian convention's Friday night "Thank God it's Friday" party in conjunction with Epoch, Juggcash and TrafficJunky.

"The Networking Cocktails are a natural for us," said Mark Prince, 2much.net founder. "They're all about what our software is, which means interaction, connecting and bringing people together."

As a prelude to each night's main event, and post-floor "unwinding" opportunity, Prince has promised some special events at the cocktails themselves.

"I won't say what they are," he said. "But they're sure to keep people talking at suppers and the main parties during the evening."

2much.net will also be holding a booth on the show floor, hosted by reps Brookelynne Briar, Xev Delexx, "Mediaguy" and Prince himself.

"That's when I won't be speaking at one of the seminars," Prince said, who in the past spoke or moderated cams and billing seminars. "I'm doing the Newbie seminar for a change this time.

"After nine years, it's about time," Prince said.

Qwebec Expo's first year was in Quebec city itself. Through some of 2much.net's own networking office parties, Michael Plant, Qwebec Expo creator and organizer, decided that it would be easier to attract more attendees if the tradeshow were held in Montreal.

"And so, the next year, the attendance was huge," Plant said. "And Montreal is so much more cosmopolitan, and has many more venues for parties and gatherings.

"My heart is in Montreal for Qwebec Expo," he said.

Qwebec Expo has been held in Montreal every year since 2005, at the Mariott Château Champlain. This year's dates are Aug. 10-12.
