LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has released Brad Armstrong's "Countdown," a big-budgeted sci-fi drama that follows different groups of people as they prepare for their last day on earth.
Wicked exclusives Jessica Drake, Kaylani Lei and Alektra Blue topline the film, which is set five days before a massive asteroid the size of Arizona obliterates the Earth and everything in it.
“It’s an insightful look at how different people handle the end of the world,” Drake told BrewinAfterDark.com. “The way they face it; who they choose to be with. It’s a drama and it’s dark, obviously as end of world approaches, but it’s really sexually charged.
"The dynamic among the people, as they’re realizing they don’t have long to live, is really intense.”
Costars include India Summer, Misty Stone, Dana DeArmond, Lezley Zen, Seth Gamble, Michael Vegas, Bill Bailey, Jack Lawrence, Derrick Pierce, Xander Corvus, Rocco Reed and industry veteran Randy Spears in a non-sex role.
"Countdown" has a run time of 168-minutes and is available on DVD as a special two-disc set chockful of extras, including a digital copy of the film, extended sex scene footage, a behind-the-scenes featurette titled "The Girls of Countdown" and three bonus scenes from the Wicked Pictures library.
The film's safe-for-work trailer can be seen on Wicked Pictures' YouTube page.
