LOS ANGELES — "The Deep Throat Sex Scandal," an off-Broadway play about the making-of and political aftermath of the infamous 1972 adult feature starring Linda Lovelace and Harry Reems, will open in Los Angeles on Jan. 17, 2013.
Directed by Jerry Douglas from a script by David Bertolino, "The Deep Throat Sex Scandal" is set in 1976 Memphis, Tennessee during a series of federal cases that ended with Reems, mob producers the Perainos and many others convicted on obscenity charges.
The play, which stars Ron Jeremy as District Court Judge Harry Walker Wellford, will open in Los Angeles at the Zephyr Theater. To learn more about the production, visit DeepThroatThePlay.com.
