NEW DELHI — Bollywood actress Sherlyn Chopra will be Playboy magazine's first-ever Indian cover girl.
The starlet tweeted nude photos this week, apparently from her five-day shoot for an accompanying layout in the magazine.
Chopra, who now describes herself on Twitter as a “Playboy girl,” said she is excited about the opportunity and felt "proud to be the first Indian to do it."
"The youth is racing towards liberalization, and that's why being unconventional in one's choices is no longer a taboo,” Chopra said.
The Playboy newbie has appeared in Bollywood movies including “Dil Bole Hadippa.”
She reportedly arrived in Los Angeles last week and spent the Independence Day holiday at the Playboy mansion with founder Hugh Hefner.
Hefner tweeted at the time: "Playing dominoes with @CrystalHarris @trishafrick @ChelseaRyan_pb @cristalcamden @missashleyhobbs @sherlynchopra."
He added, “Playmate Ashley Hobbs won tonight's domino game with Crystal, Trisha, Chelsea, Cristal Camden, Sherlyn Chopra from India & me. A fun night."
Chopra called Hefner "the most compassionate man on planet Earth." "It has been a true pleasure to be staying as Hef's guest, to be playing indoor games and watching movies with him and most importantly to be doing the coveted cover shoot," she told the New York Daily News.
"Thx Mr.Hefner for introducing me to 'Dominos'. I hope I got the spelling right (sic)," she tweeted.
