Xobile Hits Canada

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – AEBN, also known as the Adult Entertainment Broadcasting Network, launched its successful Xobile brand in Canada this week, further expanding the mobile service outside the U.S. territory.

Xobile first launched in April 2005 as AEBN’s mobile distribution portal for adult movies via wireless devices.

The new Canadian division, Xobile.ca, aims to bolster Xobile’s subscription rate and tap into the Canadian mobile market, which AEBN says is growing at an exponential rate.

Xobile.ca will be helmed by Dave Bailey, who will license the Xobile brand name through his Canadian company.

“By entering this license agreement with AEBN, we will be able to focus on leveraging the Xobile brand effectively to the promising Canadian market," Bailey said.

Xobile currently offers 45,000 two-minute clips edited from thousands of adult films housed under the AEBN library of content, The mobile portal also provides content from 150 different categories and genres.

One of the highlights of the Xobile.ca launch is that it will offer a credit package enabling members to download a variety of movie minute options, depending on what they’re looking for. Video clips range from around three megabytes, enabling greater storage capacity for mobile devices.

The company’s two-minute mobile movies are available in nine different formats that are distributed at speeds of between 124 and 512 kilobits per second.

According to AEBN, members who join through any AEBN or AEBN-affiliated website are automatically enrolled in Xobile and customers pay only for what they watch.
