Throughout the run of “Burleigh Grime$,” which begins tonight, information about Rick’s Nasdaq-traded stock will appear as part of the onstage action.
In turn, “Burleigh Grime$” patrons will be offered free admission to the club.
The Girls of Rick’s also will hand out co-branded flyers across the street from the club at Madison Square Garden and Penn Station to help promote the comedy. Music from the show will be played by the club’s DJs as the regular entertainers do their cabaret acts.
The comedy at Manhattan’s New World Stages is about a young Wall Street broker whose adventures include, among other things, a visit to a local New York gentlemens club. “Burleigh Grime$” also includes a cameo video appearance by Jim Cramer of CNBC’s “Mad Money.”
The relationship between the Rick’s and “Burleigh Grime$” began earlier this month when members of the cast of Roger Kirby’s stage comedy appeared as guests of honor at the Due Diligence Ball, a party thrown at Rick’s Cabaret for stockbrokers, analysts and other financial industry professionals.
Cast members of “Burleigh Grime$” attending the Due Diligence Ball included Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Wendie Malick (“Just Shoot Me”), Mark Moses (“Desperate Housewives”), James Badge Dale (“24”) and Nancy Anderson (“Kiss Me, Kate”).
Rick’s Cabaret owns, operates and licenses 10 adult nightclubs in New York City, New Orleans, Houston, Minneapolis and other cities under the names Rick’s Cabaret, XTC and Club Onyx.
