B. Skow Now Directing for Girlfriends Films

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Girlfriends Films announced today the addition of filmmaker B. Skow to its team.

The director told XBIZ he wrapped his first yet to be titled feature for the studio's “Lesbian PsychoDrama” series on Saturday, starring Jayden Lee, Gracie Glam, Ella Milano, Asphyxia and others.

The film is scheduled for an August release.

“This was my first all-girl film and I loved shooting it. It was one of the best working experiences I’ve ever had in the industry. Girlfriends is great to work for — they let me do my own thing and be very creative,” Skow said.

The auteur will also be directing other existing Girlfriends Films lines, including “Women Seeking Women," and “Net Skirts.”

Filming on "Women Seeking Women" begins on June 26. “I’m extremely excited to begin creating new volumes of Girlfriends Films’ awarded series, like ‘Women Seeking Women.’ It will be a fun challenge to stay true to the core of the series, which consumers love, while adding my own touches as a filmmaker,” Skow said.

The director will also continue to shoot for his own Skow Digital line that includes a new reality-type film, “Model House Invasion” that he described as “bursting into a house while models are doing their scenes without them knowing we were on the way.”

Skow’s addition bolsters Girlfriends directorial power that includes owner and filmmaker Dan O’Connell.

“I’ve always been impressed with Girlfriends Films’ content, business practices, and industry involvement,” Skow said. “After meeting Dan O’Connell, Moose, and the rest of the staff, I can see why the company has such a positive reputation. I feel like I’ve found a new home.”

“B. Skow is a perfect fit with Girlfriends Films,” O’Connell said. “He is able to compliment our vision and style, while bringing his own fresh ideas, cinematic skills and aptitude, and knowledge of performers to our sets. The result will be added value for Girlfriends Films’ consumers.”

He added, “After many meetings with B. Skow, Moose and I have come to whole-heartedly trust him to capture everything our fans love best about Girlfriends Films’ movies — his enthusiasm truly matches our own. Even though B. Skow has come on, these movies are my passion, and I will be shooting my own movies at the same pace as in the past.”
