LOS ANGELES — Zero Tolerance has announced the release of "The Valley," the latest feature from director Sam Hain that will hit the streets the week of June 25.
The story follows a private eye named Marlowe who has been hired to find a wealthy man's missing daughter and gets into a world of danger. As the case leads him further into an underground porn industry, Marlowe finds that there are few he can trust in a case where everyone is a suspect.
Billed as a "neo-noir film," the production was shot art-house style and stars XBIZ Award-winner Tommy Pistol as Marlowe. Pistol in January won the Acting Performance of the Year award for Sensuous Diamond/Pleasure Dynasty's "Taxi Driver" parody.
The cast also features XBIZ Award-winners Andy San Dimas and Chanel Preston, Lizz Tayler, Katie St. Ives, Stevie Shae, Chastity Lynn, James Deen, Evan Stone, Anthony Rosano, Brian Street Team and more.
Hain previously directed acclaimed movies such as "Horizon" (Wicked Pictures) and "The Sex Files I & II" (Revolution X/Digital Sin).
"I love the noir genre, and wanted to use that low-fi look to make a film that really grips people with its visual appeal," Hain said. "Tommy does a fantastic job as Marlowe. It was fun to work with him because he really dug into the role."
"With Sam Hain at the helm, an adult movie becomes a film event," said Marcus West, marketing director at Zero Tolerance Films. "It's Sam's first non-sci-fi concept, and it's executed beautifully. We're excited to be able to help him deliver his new vision."
"Sam Hain films always perform well at retail," added Lucy Vonne D'Olimpio, sales executive at Zero Tolerance. "And it's easy to see why. He has a loyal fan base who love his combination of great storytelling and hot sex."
The Valley is scheduled for release June 26. There will be premiere gala launch and promotional contest announcements in the coming days.
