LONDON — "Game of Thrones" guest helmer Neil Marshall spoke with Empire Film Podcast about his experience shooting adult performer Sahara Knite in a full-frontal nude scene for the season two episode "Blackwater."
Marshall, director of the 2005 all-girl horror classic "The Descent" and the 2008 Rhona Mitra actioner "Doomsday," described filming the scene, in which Knite's character — the prostitute Armeca — is publically disrobed by the King's Hand's protector — as "surreal."
He explained, "This particular [HBO] exec took me to one side and said, 'Look, I represent the pervert side of the audience, okay? Everybody else is the serious drama side—I represent the perv side of the audience, and I’m saying I want full frontal nudity in this scene.' So you go ahead and do it."
Knite, of course, is no stranger to nudity. The Indian-born, London raised actress has appeared in more than 70 adult titles, including Hustler Video's "Anal Extremes," Girlfriends Films' "Girls in White," Pure Play Media's "Worker's Compensation 3," and the Private Video feature "Billionaire."
Knite made her "Game of Thrones" debut in season one's "You Win or You Die" episode. She has since been featured as a recurring in season two, appearing in the episodes "The North Remembers," "The Night Lands," and "Blackwater."
